About Matt Siegel, Founding Partner

CLIO and Emmy Award winning producer and director of photography Matt Siegel heads up the Imageworks global team. With a background in motion picture production and VFX, Matt designs concepts, writes copy, composes images, and lights scenes for commercials, features, documentaries, branded content, corporate communications, and virtual production.
CLIENTS
Working with creative and agency partners around the world, Imageworks' commercial clients include Google, Toyota, Ford, SONY, Audi, MasterCard, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola, with multi-platform branding campaigns filmed for Bayer, Honda, CVS, Timberland, The Smithsonian Institute, and the US Army.
AWARDS
Matt's commercial work has won international recognition, including ADDY, TELE, Cannes’ Golden Lion, and Cable ACE awards.
TELEVISION
In addition to heading Imageworks-LA commercial production, Matt has extensive industry experience as a 2nd Unit DP and Camera Operator on episodic television and VOD series, including NBC's Council of Dads, WB's Everwood, the CBS drama Joan of Arcadia, the Jerry Bruckheimer series Just Legal, and the CBS series The Mentalist, as well as Castle Rock, produced by Stephen King and J.J Abrams for HULU.
FEATURE FILMS
As a feature film camera operator, Matt has worked on Hollywood blockbusters including The Matrix: Reloaded, Spiderman 2, Master and Commander, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
REALITY TV/DOC
While producing and shooting reality and adventure TV, Matt has traveled the globe with Animal Planet, Asian Food Network, Comedy Central, Discovery, Discovery Kids, HGTV, and the Travel Channel.
VIRAL MARKETING/UGC
Matt has created popular viral marketing campaigns for YouTube, Hasbro, and Reebok. He enjoys collaborating with Google's Studio G and The Google X lab in Mountain View, CA., assisting in cutting edge R&D project like Google Glass and the Waymo Autonomous Vehicle Project.
WORKSHOPS
Matt balances his professional film career by conducting camera, lighting, and virtual production workshops around the world, demonstrating production techniques and new technology for ARRI, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic, Litepanels/VITEC, Quasar Science, and Rotolight.
EDUCATOR
As a founder and assistant arts professor, Matt lent his professional expertise to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts-Asia. His Introduction to Digital Cinematography was published by John Wiley and Sons, Ltd., London.
